Help with pricing Springfield 1903
I recently inherited a number of old military rifle and I need some help figuring out how much my Springfield 1903 is worth. It is in really good condition. Serial number 369xxx. I will post some pictures below.

You have a low serial number rifle that would put it into the "do not shoot" category.
You should do a search and read up on it before doing anything with it. It involves improper heat treating of the receiver that made it susceptible to failure. The safe ones are above S/N 800,000, at least regarding the Springfield. |

Is there an approximate price range for low serial number ‘03’s in good condition?

As Dufus mentioned- do not shoot it!
http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1903-m1903a3/ Its a wall hanger, you might still get a decent price for it, but only as a collectable, not as a shooter.

I think a thorough, reasoned and balanced discussion about the issue can be found at http://m1903.com/03rcvrfail/. I have a "low number" Springfield 1903 and will occasionally shoot it with reloads downloaded a bit. But, CMP and any other seller with half a brain will sell these only as wall furniture. Yet, they don't deactivate the rifles.
