n110 in 44mag

I have experimentally worked up loads with N110 in a lot of other cartridges, and never got anything good going.

Not yet. I picked up a pound when other powders were not available but my shooting has slowed down due to circumstances. So I am still using W296. Looks like on the data tables that N110 is slightly faster than W296/H110 but slightly slower than AA9.

I have used at least 12 pounds of the stuff in 357 Magnum and Ruger-only 45 Colt. Price no object it is the best powder for that application overall, in my experience. If it wasn't so much more expensive now, hard to find, and if it still came in 8lb jugs I would still be using it. Of course, every powder is hard to find nowadays. It should work very well in 44 Magnum. It's very clean and consistent, has a fairly wide loading range and you really can't get too much powder in a case to go overpressure before you run out of room. Your best bet for data is from Speer or VihtaVuori.

Yes.

Although not with SWC. Mine are 240gr FMJTC. (1350fps from a 4" RH)
I also use 200gr plated TC (1100fps) and 275gr hard cast FN bullets (1150fps), all over N110.

VV is the only powder brand available here and luckily it works very nicely. N110 makes for some pretty potent cartridges with the 240-275 bullets, whilst my 200gr bullets are fairly mild to shoot.

As MMB713 pointed out: very clean and versatile as far as I can see.

As I understand it, VV is quite expensive in the US, but if you have the inclination to try and the money, I'd heartily recommend it!

Have been using n110 for m1 carbine. I like it. I think it's better than h110. Didn't do .44 magnum. But m1 carbine is quite close to .44.

you can except these days. Only heard good things about it. Think I'll give
it try. Probably like it then won't see it again like a lot of our favorites.
