"Vintage" RCBS Dies

Hi, all-

I've ordered a Hornady Lock and Load press and now I'm looking for dies.

My brother in law has my old RCBS RockChucker along with the RCBS dies I used to use before I decided to get out of reloading (before deciding I was getting back in to reloading.)

Those dies are 30 years old, are carbide, and would fit most of my needs in terms of calibers .38/.357, .44, .45

I just found out he's not reloading anymore and I'm thinking about doing the unforgivable and asking for them back.

Will they work in my Lock n Load?

And are RCBS' dies from 30 years ago any different than what they are making now (better, perhaps?)

Best,

Chris

They will work just fine. They are standard size and should work on most presses.

I have some RCBS dies that are at least 60 yrs old and they still work. All RCBS, HDY, & Lee dies have standard 7/8-14 threads. Exception would be 50BMG, 577-450 MH.

Dunno about anyone else, but I find the Hornady bushings indispensable.
