Pistol Storage

I will soon be recieving a USGI 1911 (which will be my first handgun, more on that when I take possesion of it), it has some rust issues (again when I get it I'll have to decide what Im going to do about it) but either way I want to store it a way I can prevent moisture from getting to it. I DONT need a safe to store this weapon.

I was considering getting one of the Sack Up Gun Socks to store it in and still might use one but whats the best case to keep in while not it use and when Im taking it to the range?

I also need reccomendations for a range bag.

Also does anyone have experience with this the Winchester 22 piece soft sided cleaning kit? Its $16. I like this one because it comes in something where its organized. I have bought a rifle cleaning kit and it dont come in any type of organizer and stuff goes all over.

Don't mean to be contrarian but, if this is a genuine military-issue M1911A1 (or M1911) in any kind of condition other than "junk" ... you should not be shooting it.
