Sorry to bring up what I expect has been hashed before, but I'm wondering what the down side is of using anti-seize lubricant on the rails of my Springfield 1911 A1. I know the stuff is very messy but it works very well on my choke tubes, so?

2shots, I haven't tried that. The best lube I know of is Action Lube from Brownells. http://www.brownells.com George

How about lite grease on the barrel of series 70's where the bushing fingers rub? Would that be better than oil?
