Posting an address
(http://i587.photobucket.com/albums/s...1111/007-3.jpg)
that has been changed or deleted (like you just did) certainly makes me get in an unprepossessing funk.

@Shoney: The address works fine for me . . .

And while the problem shown doesn't necessarily make me rage, it does annoy me more often than I'd like.

link

The link worked for me.
Field: I can understand why that stoppage would put you off.

Dial up and links to photos of problems instead of text?

Hornady copied Dillon’s original design with the rectangular funnel for the case feeder. For small pistol brass you needed to insert a plastic block with a hole in it to prevent the problem you show. Down the road Dillon changed the funnel on the case feed to a round one that works for everything without any insert.

I suspect Shoney would prefer a posted pic of the problem over a link:

That would SUCK!

No offense guys, but that's why I like to keep it simple. No progressives for me.

The more moving parts you have the more things are going to muck up.

I don't think going absolutely "NO PROGRESSIVE" is the answer. Although I keep my 550 as simple as possible. I keep a single stage press too.

I've never found that picking up a piece of brass and inserting it into the press was something that needed automation.

Yeah, and who needs one of those noisy motor cars when everyone has at least one horse…

Whats that? Never seen something like that. Looks like quite a jam though. Oh, the joys of using a single stage...

I've never used one of the big powered presses like those fancy dillons. I imagine they work great when they're working properly, but still, thats not my taste.

well really if i was able to have the press mounted to a completely rock solid surface and then have part of the case feeder support bolted to something that would pretty much never happen and the machine would work flawlessly. its just the fact that i have it mounted to a somewhat narrow steel bench that shakes around

My solution

periodically this happens to me. To correct this I take a damp cloth and while out all the build up of dirt and grit I can reach.

After the area dries, I wipe down all the surfaces I can reach with amorall and usually takes care of the problem for another 10K rounds or so.

Let me know if this helps JM
