problem with dillon 550 press
I am reloading 40 cal and I got a redding g-rx die , how can I get the push rod to work with my 550 press???

I'm afraid you're out of luck on that one. The pushrod normally fits in where a standard universal shell holder does on top of the ram on a single stage press. There's no such thing on a progressive press.
You might be able to take a spent 40 case to a machinist and have him machine a steel pushrod with a 40S&W rim and extractor groove so it will fit your shell plate just like a cartridge. Otherwise, there are a lot of uses for a single stage press, even when you have a progressive press. This is certainly one of them. Andy |

One what? Pushrod that works in the shell plate, or single stage press?

Go to www.dillonprecision.com and find their toll free advice number. Those guys are absolutely great. We might have a nomenclature problem here - but they can certainly square you away with any questions you have about your Dillon equipment. They score 100% with me - customer for over 10 years.
