What Is This?

I'm not sure if this should be here or in C&R
I received a package in the mail today from the estate of a friend of the family today, and it was this flintlock pistol. The only markings on it are TOWER, EIG JAPAN and GR with a crown emblem.

Should I get it appraised? Is it worth anything? What is it?

It's a cheap copy of a .69 Tower flintlock smoothbore. Japan imported them by the thousands in the 70's. Dixie Gun Works used to sell them for I think 49.00 in 72. The frizzens are soft and don't spark well. Dixie said in their catalog for 10.00 more they'd tune the locks to make them spark. If the lock throws a good shower of sparks have fun with it, if it doesn't it will make a nice display.

Yeah that makes sense. The trigger wobbled and everything about it seems loose and corny. Guess I'll put it up on the wall under my Baby Dragoon.
