Savage P-series .22LR/.410 firing pin
I have a Savage P-series .22LR/.410. When you unbreech the gun, the firing pin on the .410 isn't retracted all the way like the pin on the .22. The extractor actually makes contact with the .410 pin when unbreeching. Can I correctly assume that the firing pin spring is broken?

Could just be gunked up. Try takeing the stock off and see if you can get to the mechanism.
