slow loads for 450 Marlin
My wife has asked me to come up with a reduced load for our Browning BLR in 450 Marlin. The slowest load I could find so far is Accurate 4350 for about 1600 fps with 300 gr Sierra. Does anyone have comparable loads with other powders?

Since the .450 Marlin has practically the same case capacity as the .45-70, I would think that loading data for a .45-70 would also work in the .450 Marlin. It practically is a .45-70 with a belt so you can't shoot it in rifles not designed for it.
10 grains of Unique and a cast 300 grain bullet is about 1000 fps and is a perfect plinking round in a .45-70. |

Look at the loads for the weaker trapdoor springfield rifles in the data books (45/70) and use it. Try RL7
