FNG saying thanks

I've been lurking around here for a couple of weeks because I'm considering getting into reloading. Lots of good info here, so I went ahead and registered. I hope to get my bench area setup over the winter and buy a press (when I decide what I want). In the meantime, I'll keep studying the books I bought and keep checking this forum. I might even start to accumulate some brass and other consumables just spread out the initial investment.

Welcome to TFL.

Look at reloading not as a way to save money but as a way to shoot 5 times as much for the same price...

Good idea about picking up some things while you wait. Maybe you have a great source to get used brass or maybe you've been saving it for awhile. If so, that's great. If not, it would be good to order some now. Starline for example makes good brass and it costs less than other brands. But usually you'll have to wait a few months to get it after you order it.

I'm fairly sure that primers and powder will be cheaper and easier to find later on this year, so it's best to wait a bit to buy them. If you want to spread out the purchases a bit, you could at least buy some of the dies you will want. Sometimes they can be hard to find when you really need them too.

Welcome to a greay hobby!

Hello, and welcome to a great hobby - sort of a hobby to support a hobby, if you get my drift!

There are many, many days where I have enjoyed reloading more than a trip to the range! Truly!

Enjoy, and God bless.

Feel free to email me at any time for suggestions or help!

And remember: Hug your God and your guns - 'cause he's coming for them both, and soon!
