can't put slide back in on bersa 380

I've got a new thunder 380, took it to the range, cleaned it, and the slide went back on fine. Took it out again, cleaned and the slide won't go back on. The slide release lever seems to be working fine and my neighbor has the same gun (slide goes on and off fine) and we can't see anything out of place between the two with the slide and spring removed. Any advice?

got the slide back on, won't dry fire

i got the slide back on with the method used in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYZSR...eature=related
, but now it won't dry fire. The trigger seems a little stuck, hammer works fine with the safety though.

If you can't get it to work on your own, send it to Colorado Gun Works. They are the primary repair shop for Bersa. You can trade messages with the gunsmith at www.bersatalk.com
