Small Pistol Magnum primers?

I was given a box of 1000 Winchester small pistol magnum primers. Since I rarely reload for any magnum pistols, I was wondering if I could use them in my standard pistol loads. All of my standard pistol loads are at least 10% under listed max.
Any opinions out there?

I don't think that loading at 90% of max will pose any problems with the magnum primers.

I wish I had people that would GIVE me a brick of primers! You shouldn't have any problems. As your loads aren't tipping the scales toward the max, I would use them. Just keep an eye out for dimpled primers. They will probably work better with slower powders. Hope this helps. CB.

I recently loaded a mess of 9mm using the magnum's by mistake. I was using 125 gr. lead RN with a load of 231 in the middle range. I emailed Winchester, just to check, and they said the load was ok. I've since shot them with not problem.....to tell the truth, I didn't feel any difference in recoil from the small primers...................ck
