i found a rcbs 22-250 die
can i use this to make 223 rounds? or do i need to get a 223 die.thanks

Well, you need more than one die to make loaded ammo. So you can't really even make .22-250 ammo with your one RCBS die. Your best bet is to find .223 dies (they aren't very expensive) and buy a press and a priming tool and some case lube, and then you'll be in the ballpark for making some rounds.

No. The .223 and .22-250 are different cartridges altogether.

They are not interchangable at all. Neither are their shell holders.
