Sling swivel removel

anyone know easiest way to remove a sling swivel on the front sight post on a AR15

THe sling swivel is retained in the frons sight base by a pin with the head expanded. Take a drill find a bit a bit smaller than the riveted or peined head and drill carfully and slowly watching for the break through and then tap the pin out. If carefully executed you will not even nick the FSB.
