If you are shooting that much and it is a 3006, I would suggest military match brass and anneal the neck/shoulders every other loading. The brass should last forever providing there isn't a chamber issue. FWIW, I have match brass that has been thru the gun 50+ times and haven't lost one yet. But annealing is a headache.

I've never found that the brand of brass has ever made any difference in group size in my '06s. That's predicated on satisfaction with anything inside one MOA; hunting use. But, even my best loads and groups seem to have been independent of brand of brass. Or brand of primer or bullet, for that matter.

Roger that,, Art! I' ve owned numerous .30-06 rifles over the last 50 years, and most of them shot well. And none of them cared what brass I used. I normally use MilSurp because it's cheaper, and lasts longer wothout annealing. And I don't anneal .30-06. |

I've had excellent results out of once fired brass of various brands in my 7mm Rem mag & 270... Perhaps it's the gun and not the brass. Those 2 700 models are tack drivers. However, I discovered the 22's are a lot more tempermental, regardless of brand of rifle...A buddy of mine and I reload 22-250's in Howa, Remington, and CZ. The Howa likes remington...The remington likes Federal... and the CZ likes Winchester and Federal...hmm...seems odd. Could be the bullet to...Who knows.
