size comparison between the 725 and 20g White Lightning...

top is my 2010 Shot Show Special 20g/30" White Lightning. Below, my recently acquired 725. The wood is just as nice as the 20 gauge. Other than barrel length, the guns are very close in size. You can clearly see how Browning drastically reduced the size of the 725's receiver. I can't say enough good things about the 725. They re-wrote the book with it...

Both nice guns...and as long as you're happy with it....nothing else matters...

.....but they're might be some guys lusting after the 725 series out there, that will appreciate the report and the comparison...( and of course, there will be the new 725 series in a 20ga ...that santa will probably have for you, I think...) ...

one difference you can't see is the overall weight. The 32" 725 weighs 7/10oz, the 20 bore is a pound less...

The 725's reciever feels much closer to a Beretta than the reciever of a traditional Browning
