Hopkins and Allen Shotgun Age
I've got a Hopkins and Allen SxS 12ga here that my dad recently gave to me. It belonged to an uncle of his. I was wondering if someone would be able to determine when it was made? Serial number is 307XX on all three pieces. The hammers and trigger group are pure gold plated. Story there is where my dad worked in the early 70's he asked a buddy to clean them up in the plating dept and when he got them back the guy had gold plated them. Probably detracts from the value, but looks nice. Other than that it is in pretty good shape near as I can tell. Bores are clean and shiny and seems nice and solid. Thanks for your help.

I looked around for you but could not find an inclusive chart.
SN 30802 was made in 1906, though, so yours was probably not much earlier. |
