endless search for a sig226

if anyone sees one, lmk!
im looking for the COMNAVSPECWARGRU2 marked commemorative sig 226 9mm.
see any lately?
its my old command.

Thanks for your service and post a picture if/when you get one.
I'd think you'll probably have the best chance of finding one within your veteran and special warfare alumni connections.

The last I've heard are the new guys are now mainly using some version of a Glock 19, especially if not given a choice for a particular assignment/deployment.

i was in the teams 90-97 when the sig was king.
we were wearing them out at 10,000 rounds. so much so, we sent armorers to sig to learn how to rebuild them.
footnote, was were tossing out the single rail berettas and P7 at the time.
seems the teams went to glock in 2015. (funny turn of events, my team generation hated them.) now the sig is on the back shelf, waiting to be tossed out. lol.

back in the 2000's, sig ran a variety of commemoratives for public sale, honoring certain groups.
i should have snagged one, but such is life.
