Yikes! Don't want much, do you?

If you can provide the dimensions, the brass can be turned from hardened brass rod. This place offers turned brass, and you might contact them to see what they would want to do it?

Burnside carbines used a cap and nipple, but had a breech loading tapered case that exposed the black powder to the cap flash through a hole in the bottom. The taper sealed the breech from gas leaks.

I have a Burnside rifle and have thought about putting something together and fire it, with encouragement of other shooters that have one, one individual that sells gun cleaning and reloading equipment at area area guns shows around Dallas makes, the cases, he brought a case over for me to look at and wants dies made for forming cases, I have another friend that thinks is will be easy, before I can start I have to finish something, but, if we live long enough it will get one, the prototype was made of aluminum.

Burnside reloading

Thanks for all replies to this post. I was fortunate enough to find a site on the internet (ssfirearms.com) that sells these cases in addition to having several aftermarket parts for the Civil war era Burnside carbine.
