One of three pistols, depending on the circumstances:
1. Glock 19; 2. 9mm Shield; or 3. Ruger LCR. Always concealed.

LCP always, Springfield XD40 Sub Compact often except for during the hottest weather.
However, transitioning to more rounds of a smaller caliber with a Sig P320 Carry at times. Coldest Winter option is a 38 Spcl +P LCR in heavy Winter coat pocket.

Had mine out today when I went to the club for some "noise therapy". As always, it worked just fine. And the abuse of .,40 S&W is overblown.

While I'm out of the practice of carrying thanks to my employer my primary carry is a Sig P2920RS. Below that I have a Ruger LCP Custom and a Seecamp .32acp. Above It I have a Sig P250C. Different guns for different needs.

https://www.xdtalk.com/threads/accid...sh-p64.232632/ I sold mine and now carry a Makarov. They are 100% drop safe (certified by the rigorous California drop test protocols), have less recoil, the double action trigger is FAR superior to the unusable P64s, two more rounds in the magazine, and are just as accurate if not more so. Only a hair bigger. You should look into them. |

We don't really get cold weather and I can't remember the last time I wore long sleeve shirts or long pants. We do see some of the locals wearing jackets during the dead of winter but even then it's only a few and only for part of a day.
Generally my carry is a Colt Detective Special, Sig 230, East German Makarov or BDM but sometimes some bigger handguns get out to enjoy the sun like a Smith 1917, 19 or 28 or a Colt New Service, an Army Special or a variety of bottom feeders.

I don't see any point in carrying around a $400 pistol that I don't like just because it's inexpensive. I had the Colt built specifically to be my carry gun and the S&W was my BUG for several years before retiring from LE. I don't fret over the possibility of "losing" a gun since the only way that will happen is if I'm involved in a shooting and it's taken for evidence. Assuming I come out on top, the money I've invested will have been well spent and when I'm cleared I'll get my gun back, if I don't the gun is the last thing I'll be worrying about.

Ruger LCP in shorts weather, and custom .44 Special Bulldog when it gets colder. I just got a Gen 4 Glock 26, and it may replace the Bulldog as cold weather CCW.

P99AS.
I like the features of the HK P7, but at this point, most of them are at or beyond the point of being two thousand dollar pistols or more, so they are too precious to carry when there are extremely capable alternatives out there for $500-$600. I could see something like a Sig P365 happening for peak summer season, although I think I'll let them work through their new model teething problems first... Sometimes in winter (a rare event in Georgia ) I'll carry a 1911 5" or 92FS or Hi Power under a jacket.

Five or six days a week, I carry a Glock 26, IWB, with a cover garment. When IWB doesn't work I also have a Sig P238 and holster for pocket carry. My other handguns are for fun.

These days I carry a Glock 43 in a small-of-the-back Blackhawk holster.
