What I plan on doing is developing a high velocity 9mm load (the legend really is a .355 cartridge IMO) to see what I can get from it.

But then... I've have never had any problem w/ 32-20 either. Maybe same reason I've been married 53 years. |

I just got back from testing some 115 gr 9mm test loads--I was able to achieve over 2900 fps and 2170 ftlbs KE at the muzzle while the group stayed together pretty well, and I believe I found a good node and will develop further. There's a discernible velocity point (2,850 +/-) when felt recoil kicks up a notch from softer recoil loads, but that's also when the groups tightened up noticeably.

So is the new Faxon Barrel GTG? I have the complete build ready sans the barrel.
My DI 10mm is churning along like a champ, so when I am done with that, time to turn to the Legend. |

Just make sure whatever you use doesn't potentially leave the top of the web of your case unsupported--that was the problem with the first legend barrel I bought. SAAMI specs have an exceedingly generous space allowance for the chamber IMO, and if the chamber is also radiused at the face that too can reduce the area of support.
