Ciener Conversions closes.

Looked at their website, closing shop after 40 years. I have read he wasn't the best person to deal with-I bought my units at gun shows so I have no direct experience. However the units I bought-Browning HP and M1911, both with adjustable sights-were top quality, well machined and finished, have worked well, I have fired my Browning HP-my first handgun-probably 30x time with the Ciener than with centerfire. When I realized they were closing I bought 2 more units off Gunbroker. Terrific for practice and training a new shooter, when they transition to centerfire the feel of the gun is familiar. They never made one for S&Ws alas.

Lunacy Prices

When people pay Colt Ace prices for a Ceiner kit they are nuts. There is still the Kimber kit in production and the Nelson kit and the advantage arms kit as well for less money than a Ceiner is going for on Ebay!
