Rossi model 61 SAC, .22 S-L-LR

Recently I posted my luck in finding aRossi M59, in 22 magnum.

A few days after I found that gun, I found this almost new Rossi model 61 SAC on Gun Broker. I won the bid without increasing my home equity loan and picked it up at my dealer this afternoon.

It even smoother than the Model 59. It feeds dummy 22 LR rounds and the plastic snap-cap revealed a really nice trigger pull. The research I did indicated that Rossi tried to make these to feed short, long, and long rifle but gave up and made them in long rifle only. Mine is stamped on the barrel S-L-LR. It did feed a single short round but if I tried more than one in the magazine it would not feed.

Can’t wait to get to the range with this one.

My Rossi feeds the shorts just fine and in fact is most accurate with the shorts.
