Hmmm, To Shoot Or Not To Shoot?

Well I was going to go to the range and test some loads I made..... Wind is blowing pretty well sustained at 20-30 MPH here right now. I am probably gonna go shoot anyway, but what do you all think? I still have 2 hours before I get off work

Go shooting anyway but not to test loads. A 20 MPH wind will play havoc. Depending on where it's blowing.

If you pay attention to wind direction and know how hard it's blowing you might improve on your ability to "hold off" allowing for wind at known distances. It's always a good time to learn, but as pointed out above, don't shoot for group testing.

I never let the weather dictate when I shoot-except for Lightning storms. I hunt in all kinds of weather,so going out shooting just makes sense to me.

At the range right now.

Luckily the wind here is head on from 12 o'clock. So far so good. This Reloder 16 and the. 140 SMK is showing promise.

I enjoy going to the range on windy days, but usually limit myself to 22LR and shorter distances. Its a great way to learn to judge wind and practice holding off a target.

I enjoy shooting in the wind.
Especially at 300 yards or more. Info goes towards dope cards.
Knowledge gained and all that.

Weather doesn't typically effect my shooting. High winds might give me pause if testing for accuracy though.
