Here is a site that carries various parts, including the cylinder, for Uberti. From everything I know, the 1858 New Army and the 1858 Revolving Carbine use the same cylinder
http://www.vtigunparts.com/store/sho...volver+Carbine Price is $100. A bit steep for me, but it is an option. Last edited by kirpi97; February 3, 2009 at 01:29 PM. |

Kirpi is right in that both the Uberti 1858 & the Revolving Carbine use the same cylinder & VTI is usually the best place to find replacement parts but if they don't have what you need give taylors firearms a try too.

I looked at Dixie first, and it didn't come up as in stock. Guess you just have to have the touch. You are right. It is there for less.

I have no idea why a uberti cylinder should be that much more expensive than a pietta. I can see 10 bucks more or so, but that's more than double.

The thing that is even funnier Noelf2.
Uberti's 1858 cylinders are slightly shorter than a Pietta 1858. You get more Steel for less money with a Pietta. |

Replacement cylinder from Taylor's is only $66.00 for the New Army. But the carbine cylinder is $81.00. Don't know why. Maybe a phone call to them would clarify.

You want sticker shock. I went to Taylor's to check on the cost for an extra cylinder for my Pietta 1861 Colt Navy .44 cal. They want $102 / $111.
![]() I would think about jumping at that $66 offer if it pans out. Because the rest of the prices are beyond what I thought to be fair. ![]() |

Try Cabela's
Pretty reasonable price:
http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...817&hasJS=true Wow, that's quite an address. If it doesn't work just look in hunting, black powder, pistols. ![]() ![]() |

Uberti 1858 Carbine & 45LC Cylinder
Hi, I have a Uberti 1858 carbine and love it. I found a 45 long colt cylinder for it on Gunbroker.com. They have ALL sorts of guns, ammo and parts for just about anything you need.
Hope this helps anyone. |
