.32 Cal Bullet Pulling & Reloading

Hello friends, I have a silly but serious question. I have a .32 H&R mag revolver. I have everything that I need to start loading for this round. Except for JHP bullets. But I do have a full box of .32 S&W longs SJHP factory ammo.

Question is. Can I pull the .32 S&W Long bullets and safely reload them in .32 H&R mag?

And since the .32 S&W long are unfired. Just bullets have been pulled. can I reload the old .32 S&W long rounds with lead? Thanks for the info. Make sense?

Yes, you can use the same bullets in both. Reloading the .32's with lead is no problem, but don't count on the same powder charge to be appropriate. Under some conditions, lead can upset enough to raise pressure unacceptably. Under most, it reduces pressure. It just depends on the hardness of the alloy and the pressure.

Worst case, just scatter the powder around the shrubs as fertilizer, and put in a known good charge. That cartridge doesn't use enough powder for this to be a significant expense. About half a cent per round for a 2 grain charge.

Or you could just shoot them in your H&R and reloading them from there.....
