Power Pistol and the 500 S&W

I have finally started handloading the 500. I have loaded some using H110 and have not had a chance to try them. I have some Power Pistol and have the Alliant Powder reloading data. I am curious to hear of anyone has tried Power Pitol in there 500's.

h110 in the 500 is awesome I shoot it out of my 460 and when I had my 500 I loaded it with h110 also good luck

I have power pistol on my bench but never thought of using it with the 500mag. My Alliant manual shows a max charge of 27gr for 1564 fps with a 350 gr bullet.
Conversely, using the same bullets, my data shows FPS in excess of 1800 FPS with H110,LilGun, & 296. These same three powders give max potential with a variety of different bullet weights with the 500Mag. I have recently decided to stick with LilGun exclusively with the 500mag simply because I get my best groups with it. Let us know how Power Pistol groups.

I have tried just a few rounds 27gr of Power Pistol in my 500 Handi-Rifle. They were very pleasant to shoot and very accurate. No where near the recoil of full power loads. I either load W-296 or AA4100 in my full charge loads.
