Brass, SP, and Lead Bullet Score

A buddy who was my mentor some 30 years ago decided to do some clearing out some "stuff". He turned 70 a few weeks back and did an ammo inventory and he had determined the has enough ammo to last till he is 100.

He gave me a few boxes of brass, a few boxes of small pistol primers, and a couple of boxes of 9mm cast bullets. Most of the brass is 9mm, but the rest is 10mm, 45ACP, 45GAP, 454 Casull, .357/.38, some 45ACP that has been necked down to 10mm, unless I missed something. I will start sorting it out tomorrow.

There is about 40 pounds of brass with half of it being 9mm. Everything but the 9mm is once fired except for the 45ACP that has been necked down to 10mm. He couldn't explain where he got that brass or what it was. The 9mm that has been fired more than once is in separate baggies and it has been cleaned and de-primed. The rest of the 9mm is once fired.

It sounds more like 357 Sig.
40S&W necked down to 357.
I haven't heard of necking 45ACP down to 40 caliber.

I did a little research last night. A .440 Cor-Bon, .40 Super, or 41 Avenger are the three most likely but there have been other wildcat calibers based off the ACP case. There are only 25 cases and they are all WIN 45ACP cases that have been modified.
