I'm not knocking Glock firearms. I've been bitten by the glock bug and have 4 Glocks now.

But, look at the way the sizes were labeled on the firearms. It was not according to actual dimensions of the gun. Who knows what they went by.

Their website added the Gen 4 just a few months ago. People found Glock Gen 4 information elsewhere well before that. Other firearms company would preview a product on their site before it's release to get consumer interest.

Sig p290 and Ruger LC9 come to mind

I think Glocks are great guns, but whoever is running it is running with a winning pruduct. Not with great marketing and what not.

It seem las if they are ahead of the pact and don't mind being barely ahead when they could clearly pull away from it.

It fits the holsters of a G-19 and that's listed as a compact.
Yep and I use the same holster for my G 26 and G 36.
I too consider the G 36 to be my officer size 45 acp having a gov. and commander model 1911.

I owned a G36 and currently own a G27. I'd classify the G36 as a compact and the G27 as sub-compact. I also currently own a Kahr CW45 which in my opinion would also be classified a compact, appreciably thinner and shorter in overall length then the G36 but the longer grip would preclude calling it a sub-compact.
