What model is this Stevens Favorite .22LR?

Hello! This rifle was recently passed down to me from my great-grandfather and I am told he acquired this around the year 1900.

Could you kindly help me identify the model of this gun?

We think it might be a Stevens Favorite No. 18 Model 1894 or No. 27 Model 1915, but are not quite sure.

Below are the details. Thank you for your help!

According to Frank DeHaas, you have the 1915 action, as shown by the takedown knob and squared off breechblock. If you take the buttstock off, it should then have a coil mainspring. The 1894 has a ring takedown screw, contoured breechblock, and leaf mainspring.

I hope the bore is good, it will be a pleasure to shoot. Standard velocity, please.

Thank you, Jim! Would you happen to know the No. of this Model 1915? Perhaps No. 27?

No, sorry, Frank was mostly interested in the actions, I do not have a reference to the many model numbers.

whatever model it is, it's an absolute beauty as far as I am concerned.
