I usually have luck getting free lead one of two ways... brother in law works at the tire shop...and... we have a backstop on our pistol target to keep the lead bullets once shot to reuse them.

I think I may have found someone...they used to work for a battery company and they saw WWs come through all the time. May possibly still have an "in"

We have gotten sheets from an xray room door..and pipes from old water lines... and have cut both of them to smaller pieces by using an axe.

You might consider wearing a good respirator. Lead fumes are very toxic!

do get the lead to convert into fumes it has to be way hotter than my operating temps...
I got some free lead today. Gave the boys a box of doughnuts for it hopefully that will give me more down the road
