If you win the lottery...Rohrbaugh
If you don't...Kahr PM9 I've also got a G26 but unless you wear cargo pants it is definitely a belt holster gun, not a pocket carry since its too thick. You can pocket carry a PM9 pretty easily. The Rohrbaugh is heavier so may sag your pocket but its beautifully made. |

I'm going to go against the grain here and say Kahr PM9.

When I want to carry a 9mm I either just slip the 40-9 conversion barrel into my Glock 27 or I load up my much misunderstood Taurus pt111 mil pro. Either would serve just fine. I carry a Taurus TCP as a bug gun because it is smaller than any 9mm out there.

There's a Sig and Kimber entry into the field now.
Personally, I have a Glock 26 which I carry on my belt and it is very concealable. For pocket carry, I'm still a J frame guy.

A Glock 26 is good. I sold it because I have a Glock 19 and don't feel the need for a 26. My recomendation is a Kahr PM9. I have one and looovvve it. I love it so much that I am going to get a MK9 too.

I hate these posts... it's kind of like asking "What's the best pickup truck?"
And the answer, as always, is... it depends. |

Of the guns I already have, my pick is the S&W 3913. It's a crime S&W is no longer producing that gun. I'm very happy with my Crimson Trace-equipped P3AT Kel Tec, so was thinking about the PF9 but the new Ruger may trump it. Depends on what it feels like in the hand and how heavy in the pocket, although I don't think they are really promoting it as a pocket pistol.

Carried.....how?
Pocket carry? Rohrbaugh - even less snag areas than the Kahr Holster - IWB or OWB, you can go with something larger like the G26 or similar |

I have both the KelTec PF9 and the P3AT. Both of them hurt my finger after a few shots. Too many sharp points and angles on that trigger . I bought their trigger shoe for $10 and after afew shots ,that fell off never to be seen again. Thinking about switching to the Ruger in the hopes their trigger will be less painful .

If you're wedded to the 9mm round, as opposed to say a .38 Spl or .357 revolver, then I'd suggest a Sig P290. I've had mine a little under a yr now and it's been 100% reliable with factory rounds. Comes with a six and an 8 round magazine and with or without Sig's proprietary laser. I think it has Sig's tritium night sight as standard on all model. My usual carry piece is a S&W M36 in .38 Spl, but I do carry the Sig when a thinner profile is called for. It's an accurate gun, and will hold 1-1/2" gps at ten yards if I do my part. (Even with that short six round magazine in place.) Rod

Like a lot of Sigs, the 290 feels top heavy in my hand . All the mass seems to be in the slide.
