22 Hornet 45 grain bullets
I shall be loading on factory specs in my Ruger 77 Hornet. Do the bulk Remington and Winchester shoot as accurate as Sierra and Hornady using 45 grain softpoints?

GENERIC 22 Hornet 45 grain bullets
Ruger 77-22 Hornet
Do Remmington and/or Winchester 45 grain bullets shoot as accurate as major brands? Probablly not. I have a few 45 grain Remmington Hollow Points that shoot a group the size of nickel. I have been told that the SOFT POINTS are the most accurate. MADISON |

I have just recently tried out the bulk winchester hollowpoints in my 77/22 hornet. group sizes haven't been too great, usually around 1.5-2" at 100 yards for five shots. I've only tried IMR 4198 so far but I have had much better accuracy with other bullets. The best results I've had so far is with IMR 4198 and the 45gr Sierra soft point. Groups are usuall 1/2 to 3/4" for five shots with that load.
