S&W mod. 12 manuf date

Just bought a 98%+ S&W 12-1, serial #C6003xx. Paid $195 OTD. When was it made?

Burrhead, my information shows the Smith & Wesson Model 12-1 was only produced in 1962. This version eliminated the the triggerguard screw and the extractor rod changed from right to left hand threads. Fjestads' Blue Book shows the Model 12 in 98% at $245. Sounds like you made a good deal. Hope this helps!
