Finally got an El Patron competition .45

Got my new shooter today. I have always wanted to test out one of these and I finally found a NIB one that was a deal.

It'll be fun to compare it to my 1873 Pietta. Not sure if I'll get to test it out tomorrow or not, depending on the family events. But weather permitting, they'll see action this weekend.

Congratulations!! I've enjoyed mine since the day I got It! Don't need to do much to make it a super nice shooter! You may need to "blend" the edge of the shelf where cartridges move into "chambering". It's a little abrupt and may cause hangups. Though mine is heavily modified as far as the action is concerned, it's still an El Patron Competition as far as shooting accuracy!! Very nice!
Not familiar with the Pietta but have read a lot of good things about them.
