Overswized 1858?

Dixie Gunworks lists an oversized Remington '58 in their caralog.
What is this gun for?
Is it sold to be finished off like a Kit-gun, or is it for some other special reason?
I think that the basic '58 is plenty large enough for any hand!
Personally, I like the 5 1/2" Remington Sheriff best. It seems to handle the quickest and holsters neatly. Accuracy is ust the same as the full size and you can load the same powdeer charges.

If memory serves me correctly, I seem to recall that the present 1858 repros are a tad smaller than the originals & the 'oversize' model was done for Navy Arms to remedy this situation for purists. I have never taken the time to compare a reproduction with an old original however.
