What are the best valued pistols you own?

Here is my list:

1. Walther PDP Pro compact.
At $700 retail price, you get many pro-grade upgrades, like one of the best triggers in the industry. It it can easily outperform many $1K plus guns.

2. CZ P-01
This thing fits your hand like a glove. It is NATO-approved and super accurate. You can get one for $600.

3. SW Shield plus
It is accurate, reliable, with SW warranty. It offers high capacity magazines (10, 13, and 15) at a small concealable package. You can get it for <$350. What a steal.

My Ruger NM Single Six. Paid $125 in virtually new condition from a pawn shop just outside of Camp Lejeune back in '92. Came with the spare 22WMR cylinder as well. Still have this gun today.

The handguns I value most (may not fit what you're getting at)

1. Viz 35 Radom. The first handgun I bought with my own money.

2. S&W Model 19. Simply the best combination of portability, ergonomics, power, etc. ever assembled in one revolver package.

3. My big bore Smith & Wessons in .41 Magnum, .44 Special, and .45 Colt and my 1917 in .45 ACP.

4. My .32s. I LOVE the .32 calibers... .32 S&W., .32 Long, .32-20, .32 ACP. They're all so damned polite when you pull the trigger.

5. My S&W 042. It's been my primary carry gun since the late 1990s.

6. My HK P7PSP. Funky, weird operation, but I absolutely love how well I can shoot it.

Talking best bang for the buck, literally…………….paid $1 for an RG30, completely disassembled, in a zip lock bag. Spend a couple hours during a Super Bowl Sunday reassembling into a fully functional firearm.

The pistol I value the most, would have the hardest time letting go, is probably my Browning Challenger. 2” (or thereabouts) and 6” barrels, feels and shoots great. Started shooting it when I was about 2 years old, dad gave it me about 5 years ago. Lotta good times with it in the last 43 years.

Several ways to think about that:

1. Bersa Thunderer .380. $260 at Bud's. This is the only firearm I have ever sold, regretted it, and bought another later. Shot side by side with an old (not the new ones) Walther PPK, the Bersa was better. Great trigger, great eronomics, accurate. Blah blah, it's not 9mm, I don't care about that. You could offer me $260 for mine and I'd pass it up. I'd just have to buy another.
2. Ruger LCRx 3" .38 Special. It's not a S&W, it's lighter and has a better trigger, uglier but better grip, and I would not feel bad falling in the creek with it. It'll dry out. It's just a big ol' trail gun.
3. Hamilton Bowen customized Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Magnum. If you're gonna have a Blackhawk, may as well have the best. I tried .45 Colt. I tried .454 Casull. At the end of the day, if .44 Magnum can't do the job, bust out the 30-06.

Of course, your mileage may vary. I like good value for money, and I appreciate custom made firearms.

Yet another interesting thread, the parameters are set but leave out a lot.

I have seen how big-shots with custom guns have lost badly to somebody who used a Roehm.

So, a Roehm .38 Special with a swing out cylinder that could accept HKS10 speed loaders is my choice.
Or the laughable High Point 9mm my oldest son bought as a joke, when he picked up a gun from his FFL that he had ordered.

Range fun ... it's just a fixed sighted , 4 5/8" barreled , Single Action 22 LR .

But I should have waited ... Ruger came out with a Super Wrangler with adjustable sights , and an extra cylinder for shooting 22 Magnums and longer barrel 5 1/2" ...
My local Cabela's is having a Sale ... $286 ! That's not a bad price for 22LR / 22 Magnum and adjustable sights !

Hmmm.... user input means a lot in this question. One of my best "values" Is a Smith post war pre model 10. It's classic, elegant, hits what I aim at, is wood and steel, and I paid less than $400 for it just a few years ago. But I'm a collector.

Ask the same question to someone else and they're apt to say a Glock 19. And in the duty pistol realm I think it would be hard to argue against it.

Ask someone in the cowboy action shooting world and they may point you to one of the better Italian 1873 replicas.

Ask someone in the uspsa realm and lord knows what you may get, but CZ P09s were pretty popular at one point.

Ask someone worried primarily about CCW and they may tell you a SW shield is hard to beat.

Bullseye competitors may favor solid mid grade 1911s.

I could keep going. It depends on what you're into.

Getting back to the best value in handguns. My parameters were, and still are, probably different than those of the OP. The best value for the money was my Hammerli International 208 because it made me more successful at matches and helped me to the next level.

Probably, My Sig P250 chambered in 45ACP. It's not very popular, as it has a DAO long trigger pull. I think it's a terrific pistol. Also, any of my CZ 22 caliber rifles. They are great values.
