Pistol identification help
I have an old single shot 22 that i cant identify. Any help would be aappreciated

You show a Flobert pistol, one of many many inexpensive small bores made in Belgium in late 19- early 20th century.
Nominal caliber is probably 6mm CB, close enough to .22 CB Caps Yours is the “Remington” pattern, so called because it operates like a Remington Rolling Block BUT that doesn’t mean it is strong. CB caps are about all it is good for. |

To add to the info by Jim Watson......
The Florbert pistols are often called "parlor pistols" because a popular past time in Europe in the late 1800's and early 1900's was shooting very low power pistols in the parlor or living room. Often a target was placed in the fire place to act as a bullet (more like a pellet) trap. Yours appears to be a better quality version. Many of these were brought home by GI's after WWII. Even a .22 Short cartridge would be unsafe to fire. A CB cap is about all that would be safe. |
