Need help with holster, belt, etc.
I'm getting into a Handgun Action League this year and need some suggestions on equipment. I will be shooting a 1911 and at times will reload 4 times. From the one time I shot last year I used my concealed carry holster and my normal work belt, which as you can guess didn't work very well.
I have been looking at those instructor belts and the rigid plastic holsters. Am I on the right track here?

You are on the right track. Lots of kydex holster out there to choose from. Uncle Mike probably the cheapest. Have fun!

"...normal work belt..." That's not great for CCW either. Not stiff enough. Holsters really need a gun belt. There are dress gun belts. Cheap they ain't. $70 and up. Make my own kit for a reason. Designed the mag pouches too.
"...Handgun Action League..." What does that entail? IPSC or IDPA rules? Neither has anything to do with CCW. Uncle Mikes makes good kit that won't cost a mortgage payment. Prefer his ballistic nylon kit myself. Used a shoulder holster while in the Queen's Service.
