My Marlin 27s (3)
I mention in another post about my .25-20s. I have four of them - Marlin 27s in .25-20. I bought the first one in 2015 for $49.00 on GB. Just a rusted barrel and left half of the receiver. I purchased parts for off GB and re-built it. Rust blued it, made stocks and had the barrel relined and shortened. I shoot just jacketed bullets out of this one. I have a Burris mini 4X scope mounted on it.
The next one also has a religned barrel and is the original 24" barrel. I'm in the process of making a new stock for it. I shoot cast bullets out of this one. The third one has been reblued, restocked and engraved. I'll have to post pictures in another post. These are nice slender and compact rifles. The action is only 7/8" thick. Very nice, I never heard of a 27. Must be a sweet little rifle to shoot. A little bit older than my 36

Yeah, I have one. Very handy and accurate with those Speer 75s. Sure wish I could find some. Speer doesn't show it on their website, but they assured me they still make them.

Speer 75 grain flat nose cor loc
Speer still makes the 75 grain flat nose bullet as a seasonal production run. You have to keep an eye out for them. Several runs ago I bought 12 or so boxes from Midway. I sold some of them several years ago, keeping enough for myself.

I just ordered some Speer 358 180gr sp from Midway. These were one that Speer was out of stock on for a while. Have faith

Wow. Sweet! I've wanted a Remington 25 or a Marlin 27 in .32-20 for years, but have never been able to find one in a condition I'd be willing to pay for.

I’ve never found a good 27 in 25/20 for decent price. I had 7 25/20 rifles , now only 2.
A old Marlin 1894 from early 1900s and a Winchester 53 from 1920s. One thing I have found with 25/20s , including the new Marlins made in 1980s is that they all do much better with cast bullets. |

A guy here shot one in CAS until the usual course of fire started calling for 10 shots from the rifle. That pump was FAST.
