Walther PP waffenfabrik 9mm
I have tried to research the history and general value of this Walther without much luck. It’s the 9mm shorty (17mm). Have the box, paperwork etc. Anyone familiar with this piece? It’s a mystery but maybe my google search skills are lacking.

Walther has its own forum. Check out https://www.waltherforums.com/. Lots of great info there.

This was required after 1968. Since you have the box and papers, the gun is almost certainly a post WWII gun made for commercial sale. The PP was the base for the later, smaller PPK, made famous by the James Bond films. 9mm Kurz (short) is the German name for the .380 auto cartridge. No idea on current market value, sorry.

Ulm is where Herr Walther ended up after bugging out of Zella Mehis which fell in the Soviet zone, soon to become East Germany. Therefore a postwar gun.
There ought to be a date code in the proof marks. |
