O-Ring For Thread Protector
Does anyone have a suggestion for how to keep the thread protector on a threaded barrel?
My M9A4 came with a couple of O-rings in a little bag that work very well at keeping the thread protector from coming loose. Even put one on my HK SP5 with similar results. However, I don't have one that will fit a .45 barrel. Any ideas?

O rings are cheap and available in many different sizes at about any decent hardware store.
I would just de-grease the threads and use a drop of "Guntite", which is a threadlocker type product specifically made for gun screws to keep them tight but allow removal with the proper tool.
