Mauser bolt disassembly
Trying to figure out how to disassemble my bolt to clean it. Its an Interarms rifle with a Mauser 98 action. Not the original Mauser with the safety lever on the bolt assembly. The safety is incorporated with the trigger. I've tried Youtube. But haven't found this particular bolt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hook the sear on the edge of a piece of hardwood to retract the striker, press the catch on the side of the bolt shroud, and unscrew.

Alternatively clamp in vise (copper jaws), pull and rotate.

If you look on the bottom of the cocking piece, you will see a little hole. Put a small pin or Allen into that hole, it will catch against the back of the bolt shroud. Then disassemble like any Mauser.
