handgun finishes

My observation is that:
(a) Colt knows how to polish stainless steel guns better than anyone else,
(b) CZ knows how to apply a black finish 100 times better than Ruger.
(c) Smith Wesson is trying to water it down for the finish of its revolvers to cut cost.

Have you noticed anything about the finish of other brands?
