i just pick'd up Lymans new 48th edition an they give an accuracy load for the 168 gr ....> N550 powder 'must be new'? [as well as the 175gr] both max powder charge shows the fastest velocitys...!
after a few tests trying Varget against 4350.. its almost a toss-up,.. but if i had to live with one powder it would the imr 4350 haven't tried the H 4350 so i can't say anything about it,.. i'm using the imr4350 in my 22-250 w/ a hornaday 55gr'ner,.. 85gr sierra in the 243 an 168MK in the .308. i have a box of sierras 175,.. but i haven't tried them yet also the new 48th Lyman has a Max load of 45.7+ guess that filled the case for the .308/168MK "its compressed" |

I'm surprised no one mentioned Realoader 15. I use 46.5 grains under my150 grain BT's for very good accuracy. Both in a 788 .308 and my Rem VLS.
It works good in my old '06 too. BTW I just realized yesterday this forum was back up. haven't been here for at leat 3 years! It's as great as ever! Cheeers. |
