We had a blast. Four rifles, State Arms Rebel, Barrett 82A1, K&P Custom, and a McMillan repeater. Five shooters and 5-10 spectators. We started out by sighting-in and then had a free for all shooting clays and punching paper just getting familiar with the range. That was fun. After settling down we ran three relays of five shots to score for group. The record, (for now), is 5 1/2" shot by the K&P.

On a real plus the Upper Nisqually Sportsmans Club is going to let us shoot regularly every third Sunday after the "Others", (40 cal and under), get through. This is a great opportunity to get involved at a organized level for local 50 owners. A place to shoot, some good folks, and shooting 50's. Don't get much better than that.

On another note rumor has it that Ft. Lewis might open up some real long range for us civilian types. Apparently the sniper guys are tired of competing with each other and are looking for some "fresh meat". The same rumor is saying that it's a 1-2 mile range with trucks for targets. This is sounding like something that's gonna be hard to resist. I'll research and post the info when available.

Pictures of the match to be posted when available.

Hope to see some new faces January 21, and every third Sunday of the month there after, sign in 12:00, hot by 1:00.

Regards, Good Shooting, and Happy Holidays!

KenM
