FINALLY found MY Glock

Well, after going through a model 17 a model 30, a model 36, and various other platforms, I finally found a Glock that I like. Picked up a lightly used model 23 at my local gun shop, shot it, and it was dead on accurate, fit my hand well and all the other good stuff. I don't know exactly what it is about it, but I am sold!

Grab an extra mag, and some night sights. I love my SIG, and both my Shields, but this 40 caliber compact Glock is perfect for me. Can't say enough good about it.

Of all the handguns I own the Glock 23 is my go-to gun. It can handle just about everything that comes along. If I could have only one gun it would be the G-23.

Yeah, I stocked up on 40 caliber in the appropriate accessories. I really feel good about this purchase.

My EDC is a 19 Gen 4, but my 23 Gen 4 is my "if I could only have one" gun. CCW, HD, LE service, military service, trail gun (excluding bear country), "stuck with FMJ", SHTF prep... Whatever a person's needs are, this is a great choice.

The 23 is my favotite Glock also!

Other brands fit my hand better, but in Glock-world, the 23 is very hard to beat.

Enjoy!!

Considering picking up a trade-in Glock (lots of .40 S&W trade-ins available locally for good prices), but just can't decide if I really want a 22 or 23, since I'm so invested in 9mm. Help convince me or deter me!

Nice! Congrats. My first Glock was a 22 then a 27. I've since moved to 9mm and .45 years ago and my main Glock is a 19.

Congrats! A used Glock 23 was my first foray into the Glock world too. Watch out they're addictive though.

The 19/23 are great guns. Small enough to conceal, yet still enough grip to shoot well.

If only someone would make a quality .22LR kit for one, I'd get one on top of my G17 with a Tac Sol .22 kit.

After wanting one for years, I just picked up a g23 too. I love it, and don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. I am looking for a g22 now.

My favorite size, but I prefer the 19. Either way, great choice!

Jon from PHLster holsters, was having a hard time (at the time, you know when) finding a Glock 19. So he bought a Glock 23 and bought a 9mm conversion barrel. That's how he runs it with an RMR. I've heard of a few people doing that.

But I agree that the 19/23 is my favorite size Glock sold my 27,26 and 34
gave the wife my 17 but still have the 30 which is about the same size as the19/23 just fatter.

I like my G23 pretty good, and I used to loathe despise and detest Glocks. Got it as a thank you gift from a friend. I still prefer my 1911 for just about everything but I'm sure I'll warm up to my Glock eventually and maybe use it as my summer carry gun. For now it's on range duty.

Glad you like the 23. I recently got a US made 19 gen 4 and I love it. They are great sized pistols.

I think if a poll was done, the 19/23 would be the favorite sized Glock. After owning several Glock models, the 23 would be my favorite. It's also the one I modded the most. Hard to beat that overall package of size and capacity.

welcome to the club. The G23 is a great weapon. Pick up a 9mm aftermarket barrel and a couple of G19 mags so you can switch over in a pinch. Also put together a ziplock bag of pins, springs and spare parts so you can rebuild the weapon if you need to. Finally stock in a quanity of your favorite carry and practice ammo and enjoy your G23.

FINALLY found MY Glock

^^^ this is a perfect idea and something I personally did. I eventually wanted to commit 100% to 9mm and .45 and sold all my .40's but one and gave one to my pops. But that's me. If you like .40, that's a perfect idea. Especially the spare parts. I have a bag of spare Glock 19 parts myself. haven't needed any this far.

Glock needs to get with the program and build slim model for CCW.

I'll stick with my Bersa BP9. Built tough, yet slim for carry.

My first Glock years ago was a 23, and it's overall still my favorite and I've owned nearly every model they make. A close second would be the 21.

It's a great feeling when you find one that fits. I have big mitts and the 23 just doesn't fit me well. My first was a G17 Gen 3 and it's perfect. Picking up a G34 Gen 3 tomorrow.

FINALLY found MY Glock

Top right: Glock 21 Gen 3. Trijicon HD sights. Minus connector. 15+1 of .45ACP

Center left: Glock 22 Gen 2. LE night sights. Supposed to have been my duty weapon when I was hired in 2008. Trained with it among other things extensively only .40S&W handgun I've kept.

Center right: Glock 17. Blue label. Turned into a race gun internally. Glockworx connector and all springs inside. (Firing pin spring, trigger spring, safety plunger spring.) extended mag release from LoneWolf. And extended slide stop. Far from done. Custom lava rock stippling done by yours truly.

Bottom left: Glock 19 with Trijicon HD sights and custom golf ball stippling on the grip by yours truly with wood bark stippling under the trigger guard and on the left thumbs rest on the frame to help give downforce to control muzzle rise when rapid firing. Took some material off under the trigger guard for my middle finger knuckle. Also has a smooth faced trigger.

It's my CCW and nightstand gun. I carry it with the TLR-1s at night. And slap in that 33 round mag before bed.

Soon to have a minus connector and NY1 olive trigger spring.

Close up on stippling.

At one time I had 8 Glock's at once. I've done a lot of spring cleaning these last two years.
