Homeland Security and Sturdy Fire Resistant Gun Safes

I'm considering the purchase of a closet size fire resistant gun safe and eliciting feedback regarding personal experiences (positive and negative) with a Homeland Security Safe or Sturdy Safe gun safe.

Based on my budget, storage requirements, safe features, and various manufacturer research considering either the Sturdy model 2419 (60x24x19) or the Homeland Security Level V/VII model (60x25x22) gun safe.

The Homeland Security Level VII model is constructed with greater thickness gauge steel which is preceived to carry some advantages from a security consideration. It also has alittle larger interior space (abiet small difference) but does carry a higher price tag (incl. home delivery). The Level V version is more inline with the cost budget ($1500) but utilized a lesser gauge (eg. 10 vs. 4) steel construction.

The Sturdy model employs a lighter gauge steel construction (8 or 7) compared to the Level VII version and in general has had very positive reviews. It's also more inline with my price range. Overall it seems to be a nice compromise between the Homeland Level V and VII model.

Regarding fire (heat) resistance it's not clear which design would be a better performing implementation. The Homeland Security safe employs a combination of glass/wool insulation material and fire board with expanding door seal. The Sturdy design uses combinations of insulating glass/wool materials. Unfortunately one doesn't know until it's been "real life" tested (which I hope is never in anyone's home).

Thanks in advance for sharing your personal experiences.
