308 Win and 165gr Rem Cor-Lokt data....
Hello, I would like to start reloading for my 308 Win using 165gr Rem Cor-Lokt. So far, I haven't been able to find any data using this bullet. Does anyone here have any experience or leads that they wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks in advance....

I've shot a lot of bulk R-P 165's in semi-autos
I've had good results with a Lake City case, 39.5-41.5 grains of IMR 4895, a Federal or Winchester primer.
Results on deer are excellent. Results on a target are excellent also. I used to use a lot of these through .308 M1's and M1A's. Christopher Dingell |

There's nothing so special about the CoreLokt bullet that data for any 165 bullet can't be used. Any of the medium speed rifle powders will work fine. H 335 and WW 748 (close to the same thing) are about standard. Some like Varget and others like 4895.

Use data for pretty much any standard 165gr flat based spitzer from Sierra,Hornady,Speer, etc.
Don't use "wonderbullet" (BarnesX bullets,Nosler Partitions, etc) data as they usually have longer bearing surfaces due to their modified cores. Note that the powder companies often don't specify bullet brand when they give their data. |
